here a = √3 and b = √7

(√3 + √7)² = (√3)² + 2 × √3 ×√7 + (√7)²

$\sqrt{a } = a^1^/^2\\therefore \\(\sqrt{a} )^2 =( \sqrt{a} )^1^/^2 * ( \sqrt{a} )^1^/^2 \\= a$

(√3 + √7)² = 3 + 2√21 + 7

(√3 + √7)² = 10 + 2√21
