(4 -  \sqrt{3} )(4 +  \sqrt{3} ) \\  \\ by \: using \: the \: identity  \: \: (x  + y)(x - y) = x {}^{2}  - y {}^{2} .. \\  \\ (4) {}^{2}  - ( \sqrt{3} ) {}^{2}  \\ = 16 - 3 \\  = 13
