The given data in the above question,

It is given that the expression is 3(x+2) + 5x-7.

we have to find the value if x is equal to 2.

Making the expression into simplest form we get,

3(x+2)+5x-7\\3x+6+5x-7\\3x+5x+6-7\\8x-1

When we add two number with sign (+) and (-) we do subtraction and given the sign of highest value.

Put the value of x as 2 we get,

8(2)-1\\16-1\\15

Hence we get the value as 15.

The simplify expression is 8x-1
