Do the simple multiplication of number then do multiplication of values in square root

 = 12  \sqrt{45}

45 is the product of 9 and 5

then

 = 12 \sqrt{9 \times 5}

9 is the square of 3 hence

 = 12 \times 3 \sqrt{ 5}  \\  = 36 \sqrt{5}

hence solution of equation is

36 \sqrt{5}
