 (\frac{1}{4} x {}^{2} + y)(\frac{1}{4} x {}^{2} + y)

Identity used is

(a + b) {}^{2} = a { }^{2} + b {}^{2} + 2ab

hence answer is

( \frac{1}{4} x {}^{2} ) {}^{2} + (y) {}^{2} \ + 2( \frac{1}{4} x {}^{2} )(y)

 \frac{1}{16} x {}^{4} + y {}^{2} + \frac{1}{2} x {}^{2} y
