20 ÷( 2 of 3 + 8 – 4 ) + 7 = 9

Given:

20 ÷( 2 of 3 + 8 – 4 ) + 7

To find:

Simplify using BODMAS

Solution:

BODMAS implies that first we have to solve brackets, then of, then division, then multiplication, then addition and at last subtraction.

In this question we have been given brackets, of, division, addition and subtraction

In bracket we have been given of, so first we will solve that

20 ÷( 2 of 3 + 8 – 4 ) + 7

= 20 ÷( 2 * 3 + 8 – 4 ) + 7

= 20 ÷( 6 + 8 – 4 ) + 7

Now, we will solve rest of the bracket

= 20 ÷( 6 + 8 – 4 ) + 7

= 20 ÷( 14 – 4 ) + 7

= 20 ÷ 10 + 7

Now, we will solve division

= 2 + 7

= 9

Hence, the final answer is 9.
