Given

The length (l) of the room is 7.2 m

The breadth (b) of the room is 4 m

The side of the square tiles is 30 cm

To find:

Number of tiles required to fill the floor of the room

Now, converting all given values in cm,

\boxed{1m = 100cm}

Room's length = 7.2 * 100 = 720 cm

Room's breadth = 4 * 100 = 400 cm

Now,

The area of the floor (room) = length * breadth (unit sq.)

   = 720 * 400

   = 288000 cm sq.

Also,

We have to find the area of the square tiles,

Area of one square tile is = (side)² unit sq.

   = (30)²

   = 900 cm sq.

Finding the number of tiles required to fill the room,

\bf Number\ of\ tiles = \frac{Area\ of\ the\ room}{Area\ of\ one\ tiles}

\bf Number\ of\ tiles = \frac{288000}{900}

Number of tiles = 320

Hence,

The room required 320 tiles.

Some important notes,

But if the units are different, then convert them and make all unit the same.
