SOLUTION

GIVEN

  • sin A + cos B = 1

  • B = 60°

  • A is an accute angle

TO DETERMINE

The value of A

EVALUATION

Here it is given that

sin A + cos B = 1

Now B = 60°

Therefore we get

 \sf{ \sin A +  \cos  {60}^{ \circ}  = 1}

 \displaystyle \sf{  \implies \: \sin A +  \frac{1}{2}   = 1}

 \displaystyle \sf{  \implies \: \sin A = 1 - \frac{1}{2}   }

 \displaystyle \sf{  \implies \: \sin A = \frac{1}{2}   }

 \displaystyle \sf{  \implies \: A =  {30}^{ \circ}    }

FINAL ANSWER

A = 30°

Answer:

if sin a + cos b= 1

b= 60.

sin a+ cos 60= 1

cos 60= 1/2

therefore , sina + 1/2= 1

sina= 1/2-1

sina =1/2

sin 30 = 1/2

therefore a = 30
