Answer :

The trigonometric function sinФ is converted into the form of another trigonometric function i.e. cosine as

sinФ = √(1 - cos²Ф)

Given an equation y = sinФ and the given equation is to be converted in the form of cos function.

Now, using the identity

sin²Ф + cos²Ф = 1

we get, sin²Ф = 1 - cos²Ф

now, on applying square root on both the sides we get

sinФ = √(1 - cos²Ф)

So, the trigonometric function sinФ is converted into the form of another trigonometric function i.e. cosine

So, to conclude in a sentence, the  trigonometric function sinФ is converted into the form of another trigonometric function i.e. cosine as

sinФ = √(1 - cos²Ф)
