tan(x+y/2)cot(x−y/2)

=sin(x+y/2)cos(x−y/2)cos(x+y/2)sin(x−y/2)

divide and multiply by 2

=2sin(x+y/2)cos(x−y/2)2cos(x+y/2)sin(x−y/2)

use sinx+siny = 2sin(x+y/2)cos(x−y/2), sinx−siny =2cos(x+y/2)sin(x−y/2)

= sinx+siny/sinx−siny

tan(x+y/2)cot(x−y/2)

sinx + siny / sinx - siny

this answer is correct,
