Answer:sin^2a+cos^2a+2sinacosa=2 so sina.cosa=(2-1)÷2=1/2

Tana+cota= sina/cosa+cosa/sina=(sin^2 a+cos^2 a)/sina.cosa=1/(1÷2)=2

sina + cosa =√2

squaring on both sides

(sina)^2+(cosa)^2+2sinacosa=2

we know that (sina)^2+(cosa)^2=1

so

1+ 2 sina cosa=2

sinacosa=1/2

now

tana+cota=sina/cosa+cosa/sina

=((sina)^2+(cosa)^2)/(cosa)(sina)

=1/(1/2)

=2

hope this helps you
