Since you can pour sand into a cup , why isn't it a liquid​

The particles of sand remain of the same shape....their shape doesn't change.... The have a fixed shape..... Hence they are not a liquid......

Ex. Sugar can be put into any container but the shape of individual sugar crystal doesn't change.
