I am only a little child picking up pebbles on the shore of the great ocean of truth!' Do we mock Newton because he was humble enough to compare himself to a little child. Of course not. He was a genius and he discovered many things. But he also knew that much more was still waiting to be discovered. He understood the value of humility.
