Dear diary
Today I was invited to have lunch by Sivasubramania Iyer at his place. I knew he had goodwill in his mind, however, I was worried how his family members might react with the society in turmoil based on religious disparity. As I had expected, his wife appeared annoyed at first. She did not know what to do with her husband's sudden request. Yet, Iyer did not budge from his decision. He firmly told her that he invited me as a friend, not based on my religion. His words truly moved me. Later I saw his wife feeling peevish. She coyly apologised for her behaviour and catered to me with utmost care.
It was indeed an amusing meal time. I hope people can continue to change their mindset just as Iyer's wife did today. The world is a place for harmony, not animosity.
