Answer:

1/Rp 1 = 1/R + 1/R

1/Rp1 = 2/R

Rp1= R/2

similarly,

Rp2= R/2

Since the resistors Rp1+Rp2+R are in series combination :

Rs = R+Rp1+Rp2

Rs= R+ R/2+ R/2

Rs= 2R

Answer:

The net resistance will be maximum between P and Q because between Q and R ; and P and R two or more resistors of same resistors are connected in parallel and if the resistors are connected in parallel, the total resistance will be less than the individual resistance. Therefore resistance between PR and QR is less than PQ.
