size of atom is directly proportion to distance of its last valance e from nucleus ..
hydrogen has atomic no. 1 means it has only one electron and this one e- will fill only its first shell i.e K shell
whereas sodium (Na) has at.no. 11 i.e it has 11 electrons it has electronic configuration of (2,8,1) means k shell occupy 2 e- , K =8e- &M=2e-
From this you can understand that as hydrogen resemble 1e the valence electron distance is small while in case of Na distance is too much ...
therefore Na has larger size as compare to H

Because sodium has more number of shells..Na has 3 shells where as H has only one shell.So the atomic radius of Na is more than that of H
