1sachinpatade: Hey the correct reason is Size of an atom of an element is different from its ION, if it's ion is positive then it's size is bigger than its ion, as its last shell is lost, but in negative ion shell is not lost, but electron no. is increased its nuclear power has to attract more electrons, so size of negative ion is bigger than atom so Mg, Mg+,AL, Al+ is in decending order
