Answer:

The pictures that I have attached below you can find there that the wavefont for diverging rays is spherical in nature and after you project it on a screen you can find the irregular pattern that is because of abberated beam and the ideal wavefront is in between the pin holes.

Where is for converging rays you can see the spherical nature of wavefront. Hope the diagram gives you a better concept.
