A white Gelatinous precipitate is formed on adding ammonium hydroxide solution to Al2(SO4)3.
- The balanced chemical reaction is given as follows:
Al2(SO4)3 (aq) + 6 NH4OH (aq) → 2 Al(OH)3 (s) + 3 (NH4)2SO4 (aq)
- When we add ammonium hydroxide solution to Al2(SO4)3, suddenly a white gelatinous precipitate of aluminium hydroxide (Al(OH)3) is formed.
- Along with it, ammonium sulphate is also formed in this reaction.
