This is the extract of the book “wings of Fire” written by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, ex-president of India.

In his school age Abdul Kalam had a hard life.

He used to study as well has distributing newspaper for livelihood of the family.

His mother used to give special favour to Abdul Kalam for his struggle.When all my brothers and sisters were sitting and eating, my mother used to give special favour by distributing all the chapati including her.

Abdul Kalam is ruminating his incidence in his book.

He has mentioned that “even I was studying in class 5, I had a special place in my home because I was the last child in the family.
