if theta is ithe inclination of a line ,then "tan theta" is called its slope (m)
if a line cuts x-axis at A(a,0) and y- axis at B(0,b) ,then the slope of AB is -b/a . where a is the x- intercept and b is the y intercept
SLOPE- INTERCEPT FORM :
equation of the line having slope 'm' and y-intercept 'c' is
y=mx+c
