multiply 3 by ( y+2).
3y+6 = -6
3y = -6-6
3y = -12
y = -12/3
y = -4

y+2 = -6/3= -2
y+2 = -2
y =( -2 ) -(2)
= -2+ -2 = -4
therefore.... y= -4
