2x +  \frac{3}{2}  = 5 -  \frac{2(x - 4)}{3} \\  \frac{4x + 3}{2}   =  \frac{15 - 2x + 8}{3}  \\  \frac{4x + 3}{2}  =  \frac{23 - 2x}{3}  \\ 3(4x + 3) = 2(23 - 2x) \\ 12x + 9 = 46 - 4x \\ 12x + 4x = 46 - 9 \\ 16x = 37 \\ x =  \frac{37}{16}
