A dozen contains 12 bananas.

From 1600 we have the following number of dozens :

1600 / 12 = 400/3

400/3 × 3.75 = 500

The buying price is thus Rs 500

The selling price will be :

900/2 × 1 = Rs 450

1600 - 900 = 700

700/5 × 2 = 280

Total selling price is :

700 + 280 = 980

The gain is :

980 - 500 = 480

% gain is :

480/1200 × 100 = 40%
