The chyme or the partially digested food from stomach is passed on to the small intestine by the peristalic waves. Then over here, most of the chemical digestion takes place. Yhen, food is mixed with the bile huice from the ball gladder and digestive juices from the pancreas. There are small opening in small intestine which connects it to the blodd vessels. The protiens, fats, carbohydrates are absorbed and sent throught the villi into the blood.
