Yesterday, I went to dinner in a restaurant. When I looked around, families, friends and couples occupied most tables. All tables had one common thing–smartphones. Many consumers have continued to snub their smartphones whether surfing, texting, talking to social media on the web or using images. What was supposed to bring us together today has actually separated us — at least in that restaurant, but at any other public place I know it's not different
Explanation:
- The biggest downside of using smartphones is the adverse effect on the memory of people. Now, because of the misuse of smartphones, people tend to forget things. .
- Previously, people didn’t have any problem in remembering the telephone numbers and other tasks to do; however, it is not the same case now.
- The so-called useful tools, including social networking apps, fully-functional web browsing and games, consume people's time. The people are still wasting their precious time rather than doing productive work.
- Smartphones make people dependent or rather say addicted to it. The users remain at the mercy of the notifications. There is no dividing line between rational use and addiction, which results in decreased productivity and stress.
