SO2 acidic in nature although it doesn't have any H+ ions. How and why?

SO2 is not "considered" to be an acidicoxide! When it is dissolved in water the solution becomes acidic so it IS an acidic oxide. ... When Sulphur dioxide is dissolved in water(neutral medium) form sulphurous acid (H2SO3) which became able to donate hydrogen ion.
