The molar ratio of gases coming out is 1:4

Explanation:

Rate of Effusion α speed α 1√M

M=molar mass

In the given question, mole ratio of He : SO2 = 1 :2

Molar mass of He = 4 g

Molar mass of SO2= 64 g

Number of moles = number of moles of substance/total number of moles

Mole ratio of He : SO2 = 1:2

Molar mass ratio of He : SO2 = 4 : 64 =  1 : 16

√Mass of He/Mass of SO2 = √4/64 = √ 1/16

Effusion rate of He/Effusion rate of SO2 = 1/4

Thus the molar ratio of gases coming out is 1:4
