SO2 exist agent as well as Reducing agent but SO3 only oxidising agent . why ?​

Its Because SO3 is oxiding agent it means a substance which gain electron here SO3 is gaining the electron Or oxygen atom

SO2=SO3

Addition of Oxygen atom
