Soaps= soaps are long chain of sodium or potassium salts of carboxylic acid.

So do not wash well with hot water because it forms in soluble precipitates of calcium and magnesium salts in hard water.

Soaps are biodegradable and do not cause pollution.

Detergent= detergent at the long chain of sodium salt of sulphonic acid.

Detergent was well with hot water because it do not fun insoluble precipitates of calcium and magnesium falls in hard water.

These are non biodegradable and causes pollution.
