Social media and data analytics are changing the scene for most industries today. It is said that social media played a key role in propelling the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to power in 2014. It is no surprise that with the elections round the corner in 2019, parties are getting their social media warriors ready to help them combat this war in the digital space. In your opinion, can Social media be used to influence voter behaviour? Can political parties actually leverage data analytics solutions to reach out to probable voters? Justify your answer

The answer is YES.

The role of Social Media is an open reality. It has changed people's lives.

The trends on Social Media can be used to make people's minds for any specific cause.

The Social Media has become the biggest source of Advertisement now-a-days. All the organizations, institutions and individuals use different Social Media platforms to influence people.

So political parties use it to change the behavior of their voters. They have their own Social Media teams. These teams support their political parties. These teams also create Social Media contents like images, videos and animations to in favor of their part and against the other parties.

They also spread false news and sometimes false POLLING. This/these polling(s) are used for creating a specific environment in favor of 1 party and against the others.
