A very cheerful goodmorning to respected Chairman , Principal sir / ma'am , teachers and my dear friends. I'll be delivering a speech on " social media a hindrance in students' life " today.
Social media is basically a way to interact with the common people and others of the same kind with indirect contact through a digital device. Nowadays , people are so much into social media that they are forgetting their duties towards their life. I mean if we take the case of students , we can see them indulged in whatsapp , facebook , twitter , skype , instagram , etc. These are just some of the applications of social media and if I start elaborating them then I'm pretty sure that this speech will go on till evening.
Well , today's youth is just getting behind in studies only because of these applications , that is the reason why we call it a hindrance in student's life. You'll see the grades of some bright students going down just due to this reason. 10th and 12th standard students are scoring such low grades that they can't get admission in good colleges and then they commit suicides , etc which is just non - sense. Lets take another case of social media in which students don't respect their parents and elders. So , starting with it I'll say that , they watch idiotic videos on twitter , etc and they are so much into it , that if their parents call , they'll just reply with an interupted face.
At last , I'll just say that social media is not only becoming a hindrance in students' life but also in parents' life.
