With the evolution of social media many things have changed. It has both positive and negative impact on human behaviour and society.

The positive impact is this that many news that were hidden earlier days now come out easily and spread and may culprits are caught but on the other hand social media is also being used to spread rumours.

Positive impact on human behavior and society of social media :

1. You can find or connect with anyone around the world. You can find old friends or classmates that would not have otherwise found !
2. It is more convenient than traditional methods of communication. It is significantly faster than writing a letter and more convenient than calling.
3. Business can use social media to target their specific audience. That way, they only show advertisements to who they are trying to target , i.e. teenagers, seniors, student, etc..  
4. Many jobs are created for social media development/ management. Facebook, twitter, instagram are the biggest websites on the internet, meaning more employees are required to manage them.

Negative impact on human behavior and society of social media:

1. Cyber bullies → these bullies can hurt other people just by typing words on a screen and posting it.
2. Decreased productivity → Many people have to check their social media on an hourly basis to be kept up to date, which result in a loss of productivity in the long run.
3. False sense of connection →  Because of social media, there is a lack of effective verbal communication skills.

5. addiction: younger generation are running their health with social media.
