political causes - Louis xvi the king of France ,spend too much from the Treasury.
The govt was forced to increase taxes.
economic causes - when the population increased naturally the demand for food increased.
most of the workers were unemployed which brought things worse . the increase in prices and law wages resulted in subsistence arise.
social causes - the society was divided into three estates the first estate clergy ,the second nobility and the third were small peasents , business men , merchants ,lawyers etc.sixty percentage of the land was owned by the church and clergy .the first and second estates need not pay taxes,but third estate had to pay huge taxes.
