The original inhabitants of Nagaland are known as Nagas.

It is an ancient tribe of north-eastern India and their culture is quite different from that of the other Indians.

The Naga children are brought up in the nuclear families, where their mothers are responsible for taking care of them till they grow older.

The grownup children share the household responsibilities of their parents and also work for daily living.

The Naga girls learn the art of weaving, cooking and other household works from their mothers
