When the acid acts with base in equal amount we get a neutral solution.

To get neutral salt:-

Sodium chloride = NaCl

So,when HCl (acid) acts with NaOH (base)in same amount.

,we get a neutral salt that is sodium chloride (NaCl).

HCl + NaOH = NaCl

Answer:

Sodium Chloride is a neutral salt. The following reason supports the cause:

1.  In a neutralization reaction, a neutral salt is prepared using a strong base and a strong acid.

2. Sodium Chloride is prepared using Hydrochloric acid and Sodium Hydroxide.

3. Chemical equation is given as:

HCl (aq)             +      NaOH (aq)                  →         NaCl (aq)             +   H2O (l)

(Hydrochloric         (Sodium Hydroxide)         ( Sodium Chloride )

    Acid)

4. Hydrochloric acid is a strong acid and Sodium Hydroxide is a strong base.

5. Hence,  Sodium Chloride is a neutral salt.
