sodium chloride is a salt is used for cooking . it is formed when hydrochloric acid is added to chloride solution , both of which are corrosive in nature . but sodium chloride is not . give reasons

2Na + 2HCl -------> 2NaCl + H2

Definitely hydrochloric acid is acidic in nature but its acidity totally gets zero after the reaction. After the reaction , the compound formed is NaCl (or sodium chloride) without any acidity.
