Explanation:

  • Sodium is alkali metal and first group metal. The atomic number of sodium is 11  and it has only one electron in its valence shell. The atomic number of aluminum is 13 and it has 3 electrons in its valence shell.
  • As it is easy to lose one electron than 3 electrons therefore sodium loses one electron easily in any reaction than aluminum so sodium is more reactive than aluminum.  
  • So less energy will require to remove valence electron from sodium and more energy will be required to remove valence electron from aluminum.
