average speed= v1v2/v1+v2=2400/100=24km/hour..
average velocity=total displacement/total time taken=0
average velocity=total displacement/total time taken=0

(i)
If “x” is the distance between Delhi and Noida then,
Average speed = Total distance / Total time
= 2x / (t₁ + t₂)
= 2x / [x/v₁ + x/v₂] …………[∵ Time = Distance / Speed]
= 2v₁v₂ / (v₁ + v₂)
= (2 × 40 kmph × 60 kmph) / (40 kmph + 60 kmph)
= 48 kmph
Average speed is 48 kmph
_____________
(ii) Avergae Velocity = Displacement / Time = 0
Reason: Sohan came finally to his initial position. So, his displacement is zero.
