Hello friend

____________________________

===>>> In example

2x - 7y = 7 .......................(1)

3x + y = 22 ......................(2)

Multiplying by 7 equation (2) we get,

21x + 7y = 154 ................(3)

Adding equation (1) and (2) we get,

2x - 7y = 7
21x + 7y = 154
-----------------------

23x = 161

x = 161/23

x = 7

x = 7 taking equation (1) we get,

2x - 7y = 7

2* 7 - 7y = 7

14 - 7y = 7

-7y = 7 - 14

-7y = -7 .........(multiply by -1 we get)

7y = 7

y = 7/7

y = 1

: x = 7 and y = 1 are the solution of the given equation .

I hope it helps you..... :)

Thanks...

Answer:

2x −7y = 7 .....(I)

3x + y = 22 .....(II)

Multiply (II) with 7

21x + 7y = 154 .....(III)

(I) + (III)

23x = 161

x = 7, y = 1
