LET the total pressure be P atm. and P=5atm
Then partial pressure of NH3 be 2/3P

         partial pressure of CO2 be 1/3P
∴Kp=(P NH3) (P Co2)

=(2/3P)^{2}  (1/3P) =4/27 P^(3)  = 18.5185

Answer: 16.4

Explanation:

Equilibrium constant is the ratio of the concentration of products to the concentration of reactants each term raised to its stochiometric coefficients.

NH_2COONH_4(s)\rightleftharpoons 2NH_3(g)+CO_2(g

initially           0           0             0

at eq'm       0         2p         p

Given : total pressure = 2p+p=5 atm

3p=5

p=\frac{5}{3}=1.6 atm

So eq'm constant will be:

K_{p}={(p_{NH_3})^2}\times {p_{CO_2}}

K_p={(2\times 1.6)}^2\times {1.6}

K_p=16.4
