Solid Carbon dioxide is called as Dry ice.
It is extremely cold substances .
It is used to deep freeze the food and keep the ice cream cold.

Solid carbon dioxide is stored under high pressure.
This is because on decreasing the pressure on solid carbon dioxide , it gets converted directly into carbon dioxide gas.
For example :
When a slab of Dry ice is kept in open air, then the pressure on it is reduced to normal atmospheric pressure[1 atmp] , its temperature rises and it starts changing into CO2 gas.

Answer:

Because dry ice is solid carbon dioxide which freezes at very low temperature  which means very high pressure we know that temperature is inversely proportional to pressure so when temperature is very low pressure is very high.
