SOLID
✏ Fixed shape and volume ( solids are tightly packed and occupy space so it have fixed shape and volume )

LIQUID
✏ Fixed volume but not fixed shape ( liquids can flow so they get the shape of container in which kept so it have not fixed shape and it can't be compressed much so it has fixed volume )

GAS
✏ Neither fixed shape nor fixed volume ( gases can flow and can be compressed so it has neither fixed shape nor fixed volume )

iramsaba: They both contain their different properties .
mohankanhaiii: You explain ony diffrence....not reason y they have diffrent vol n shape...dude
mohankanhaiii: The difference between the states is how close together the particles are, solids — very close, liquids further apart, gases very far apart.

Bcoz each have diffrent strenth of attraction foce b/w atom or molecules....thats why they have diffent volume and shape
