mass of solute= 40g

mass of solvent =320g

concentration of solution = mass of solute/ mass of solution

concentration = 40/(320+40) x 100

40/360 x 100

=1/9x100

=11.11%

hence, concentration of the solution is 11.11%

hey done man!!!!

Hey there!

Given,

Mass (solute) = 40 gram

Mass (solvent) = 320 gram

Mass (solution) = Mass (solute) + Mass (solvent)

                        = 40 gram + 320 gram

                        = 360 gram

∴ Mass % (solution) = [ Mass (solute)/Mass (solvent)] × 100

                                = [40/360] × 100

                                = 11.1 %

Hope It Helps You!
