Mass of solute = 12 g
Mass of solution = 150 g
Mass percentage of solution :
= Mass of solute / Mass of solution * 100
= 12/150*100
= 2/25 *100
= 2*4
= 8% (ans) :-
Hope it helps

The mass percentage of solution = 7.40 % (approx)

  • Solution is prepared by dissolving 12 gram of sodium chloride in 150 gram of solution
  • Here, 12 gm Sodium Chloride (Nacl) is dissolved in 150 g of solution then Sodium chloride is the solute which dissolved in solvent
  • After dissolving Nacl in solution the mass of solution will be 162 grams
  • The formula for The mass percentage of solution is given by

Mass percentage of a solution = (Mass of solute/Mass of solution)100

Calculation:

Given that Mass of solute = 12 gram

Mass of solution = 162 gram

ā‡’ Mass percentage of a solution = \frac{12}{162} (100) Ā = 7.40 % (approx)

The mass percentage of solution = 7.40 % (approx)
