hey , your answer is

given, equations are -
x + y = 14. ........(1)
x - y = 4. ........ (2)

considered equation (2) , we get

x - y = 4
=> x = 4 + y. .. .. (3)
put equation (3) in equation (1) , we get

4 + y +y = 14
=> 2y = 14 - 4
=> y = 10/2 = 5
=> y = 5

now, put this value in equation (2) ,w get,

x + 5 = 14
=> x = 14 - 5
=> x = 9

hence, x = 9 and y = 5

Hey Friend ☺

( i ) x + y = 14. ... ( 1 )

x - y = 4. ... ( 2 )

adding equation ( 1 ) & ( 2 ) we get ,

2x = 18

》x = 18/2

》x = 9

Putting x = 9 in equation ( 1 ) we get ,

9 + y = 14

》y = 14 - 9

》y = 5

( ii ) s - t = 3. ... ( 1 )

s/3 + t/2 = 6

s = 3 + t

putting s = 3 + t in equation ( 2 ) we get ,

3 + t/3 + t/2 = 6

》1 + t/3 + t/2 = 6

》2t + 3t/6 = 5

》5t/6 = 5

》t = 5 × 6/5

》t = 6

Putting t = 6 in equation ( 1 ) we get ,

s - t = 3

》s - 6 = 3

》s = 3 + 6

》s = 9

Hope it helps you ..!!
