Answer:

Solution of the Inequality is x \in (\frac{16}{3},\infty)

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the Inequality

                              \frac{1}{x-5} < 3

To Find : Range of x.

Solution :

Since the given inequality is

                                \frac{1}{x-5} < 3

taking inverse both sides of the Inequality (Inequality sign changes while taking inverses)

                               x-5 > \frac{1}{3}

transfer constant term another side

                              x > \frac{1}{3}+5

                              x > \frac{1}{3}+\frac{5}{1}

taking LCM of denominator and adding RHS term

                              x > \frac{16}{3}

Hence x is greater then 16/3 or x \in (\frac{16}{3},\infty) is the solution of given inequality.
