There are various factors which affect the flow of communication. We must first identify the factor and then try to solve it. Some factors affecting the flow of communication and their solutions are as follows:

  1. Language Differences. Languages play a vital role in verbal and non-verbal conversations. If two people trying to hold a conversation don't have a common language then it would be really difficult to hold the conversation. Learning of a common language of the person you wish to communicate is an effective way to solve this barrier.
  2. Distance. The distance between people conversing is a major factor which affects flow of conversations. A conversation will not be smooth if the person talking us very far from the person whon he is talking to. A proper proximity between the people in the conversation would be the best was to keep the conversation going.
  3. Religion: Religion is termed as one of the main division of people throughout the world. It is suggested that when having a conversation on should keep their religious beliefs to themselves and respect the other person present.
  4. Dissatisfaction and Disinterested: We can not always be interested in certain conversations but should not look disinterested in any conversation they are a part of. we should be receptive and should not show or disinterest when communicating.
  5. Disability to listen: Communication is a two way process. We should always be able to listen to the other party and give inputs. We should not be the only one talking.
