10 ÷ √2

=
 \frac{10}{ \sqrt{2} }  \\  \\  =  \frac{2 \times 5}{ \sqrt{2}  } \\  \\   =  \frac{ \sqrt{2} \times  \sqrt{2}  \times 5 }{ \sqrt{2} } \\    \\ =  \frac{ \cancel{ \sqrt{2}} \times  \sqrt{2}  \times 5 }{  \cancel{\sqrt{2}} } \\  \\   = 5  \times  \sqrt{2}  \\ \\   = 5 \sqrt{2}

We know that,

√2 = 1.414

So,

5√2 = 5( 1.414 ) = 7.04

Therefore, 10/√2 = 5√2 = 7.04
