ANSWER OF QUESTION 11
Let the total number of passengers be x
Children =  \frac{1}{8}x
Men =  \frac{2}{5}x
Women = (1- \frac{1}{8}- \frac{2}{5})x
Number of women = 380

Now, in the given equation, solve for x
(1- \frac{1}{8}- \frac{2}{5})x = 380
( \frac{40-5-16}{40})x = 380
( \frac{19}{40})x = 380
 \frac{19}{40}x = 380
 \frac{19}{40}x *  \frac{40}{19} = 380 *  \frac{40}{19}
x = 800
The value of x is 800.
∴ The total number of passengers in the train is 800.

ANSWER OF QUESTION 16
Area of rectangle = 12 \frac{7}{4} m^{2} =  \frac{55}{4} m^{2}
Length of rectangle =  \frac{7}{12} m
Let the breadth of rectangle be x m.

As we all know, Length × Breadth = Area.
Now, solve for x in the equation to get the breadth.
 \frac{7}{12} * x =  \frac{55}{4}
 \frac{7}{12}x =  \frac{55}{4}
 \frac{7}{12}x *  \frac{12}{7} = \frac{55}{4} * \frac{12}{7}
x =  \frac{165}{7}
∴ The breadth of the rectangle is  \frac{165}{7}m

Finding the perimeter.
The formula for the perimeter is 2(l+b)
Substitute the values of length and breadth into this formula.
2( \frac{7}{12} +  \frac{165}{7})
=  \frac{2029}{42}
∴ The perimeter of the rectangle is  \frac{2029}{42} m
